About Kopaonik

As the largest ski resort in Serbia, with excellently prepared slopes, Kopaonik offers endless enjoyment to skiers of all levels, from beginners to top-level skiers. The Kopaonik ski resort has more than 64 km of slopes and ski roads groomed for alpine and Nordic skiing. For fans of night skiing, the Pančićev vrh, Karaman greben and Malo jezero slopes in the very centre of the resort are floodlit. In addition, for the youngest skiers and all other beginners taking their first steps on skis, there is a secure “ski kindergarten” area with a conveyor belt and a carousel that makes it easier to learn basic skiing skills.

The snowmaking system covers 97 per cent of the ski area, including the following slopes: Karaman A and B, Pančićev vrh, Duboka 1 and 2, Sunčana dolina, Malo jezero, Krst, Krčmar, Kneževske bare, Mali Karaman, Marine vode, Karaman and the associated ski roads, as well as the ski area at Gobelja. Thanks to snowmaking, the ski season lasts longer, and skiers – beginners and more demanding skiers alike – can be sure of enjoying excellently prepared slopes throughout the season. All slopes are very well connected by a system of chairlifts and ski lifts with a capacity of over 34,000 skiers per hour. The system consists of a gondola, three six-seater and seven four-seater chairlifts, ten ski lifts, two connecting ski lifts and a conveyor belt.

Throughout the winter season and in summer too, the “Pančićev vrh” four-seater chairlift carries not only skiers and snowboarders but also visitors who don't do winter sports but come to take in the panoramic views and enjoy the many other activities the Kopaonik resort offers.

Besides its alpine and cross-country slopes, the Kopaonik ski resort also has a snow park, which hosts many national and international competitions. There is also a freeride slope at Gobelja.
